Since HFS’s inception, Garry has been involved in the
closing of over $500,000,000 of financing for the hospitality industry.
Garry has over 30 years of experience in the real estate industry
including the following:
In the 1990s, Garry provided investment banking and advisory
services for the acquisition and financing of hotels and resorts
in the U.S. totaling more than $600 million. The largest transaction
was a three-resort portfolio totaling over $300 million. In the
1980s, as Vice President of Development for Oxford Properties,
he was responsible for the acquisition and planning of the $1
billion Citicorp Plaza in Los Angeles. As a partner with the Robert
M. Bass Realty Group, he managed the $6 billion problem asset
division of American Savings, and participated in the $1.5 billion
acquisition of the Westin Hotel chain.
Garry is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland,
and Phillips Exeter Academy.
